General Terms and ConditionsMajestic Sun Tours Membership: Anyone who is single or traveling alone is eligible for membership. Majestic Sun Tours’ cruises and tours are open to members only. The membership fee is $30.00 (non-refundable and non-transferable) per person for one year from date of departure.
Reservations: See your Travel Agent or Majestic Sun Tours for reservations which should be made as early as possible in order to avoid disappointment.
Deposit and Final Payment: Deposits and other payments vary and are included in the description of each cruise or tour. Final payment for all cruises and tours is due 70 days prior to departure. If payment is not made by the due date or received by 65 days prior to departure, Majestic Sun Tours reserves the right to cancel the reservation and apply the appropriate cancellation charges. Any payments made within 3 weeks of departure require certified check or bank transfer only. Please note that credit card policies and form of payment policies are the policies of the Cruise Line selected.
Documentation: Documents for trips are normally mailed out 10 days prior to departure. Late receipt of payment will result in delay of documents. A fee for special processing and delivery of documents outside the 48 contiguous States will be charged based on prevailing costs. Cruise lines reserve the right to arrange pre-paid/pier pick-ups. Documents lost between the Travel Agent and passenger are the responsibility of the Travel Agent. Documents lost by the passenger are their responsibility. Agents and their passengers are responsible for reconfirming all flights’ dates, numbers and times.
Travel Documents: Travel outside the United States requires proof of citizenship. Since documentation requirements change, it is the responsibility of the passenger to check with government agencies and/or their Travel Agent. Non U.S. citizens should check with their consulate. There can be no refund if passenger is denied passage for lack of proper documents.
Health Documents: Check with your Travel Agent and physician for information.
Late Bookings: For any reservation made within four weeks of departure, Majestic Sun Tours may charge additional handling fees for processing and/or overnight delivery of documents. The Cruise Lines have the right to specify pre-paid/pier-pick up tickets and documents, and if required, is not responsible for airport/pier transfers.
Cancellations, Penalties, and Refunds: The following per person cancellation fees will be charged by Majestic Sun Tours if the person cancels: between 65 days and 31 days - $100.00; less than 31 days - $200. Cruise Line/Tour Operator cancellation fees are additional. It is the responsibility of the passenger to be sure they read and understand all cancellation policies. All airfare cancellations and penalties are subject to the airlines' regulations and tariffs. Separately booked car, hotel or other products are subject to cancellation policies of the supplier of those products. Additional fees may be assessed depending on costs incurred by Majestic Sun Tours or the tour operator. NOTIFICATION OF CANCELLATIONS AND REQUESTS FOR REFUNDS MUST BE RECEIVED BY MAJESTIC SUN TOURS IN WRITING AND SENT WITH UNUSED TICKETS. CANCELLATION INSURANCE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. Additional Fees: A $25.00 per person service fee (non-refundable) will be charged for any change made after the deposit is received. A $25.00 service charge will be made for any check or credit card transaction not honored. These charges are in addition to any bank or supplier charges which will be passed on to the passenger.
Not Included in the Cruise or Tour Rate: (except where specified as being included) Majestic Sun Tours' membership fee, optional excursions, transfers for cruise/land only passengers, airfares, expenses for passports, visas, and tourist cards, port and airport charges and taxes, airline security charges, fuel surcharges, head taxes, gratuities, personal expense items, valet laundry, and all other items not specifically mentioned as included.
Share Accommodations: If booked 65 days or more prior to departure, Majestic Sun Tours will arrange share accommodations when requested. Majestic Sun Tours does not pre-screen potential roommates and cannot accept any responsibility for compatibility and suitability. If a smoker is booked in with a non-smoker, the smoker may not smoke in the cabin/room without permission of the non-smoker. Majestic Sun Tours passengers may have to share accommodations with the Cruise Line/Tour Operator passengers.
Single Supplements: On payment of the single occupancy rate, usually 150 to 200 % of the double occupancy price, Majestic Sun Tours will make every effort to furnish single accommodations. The single supplement will be refunded if for any reason a single accommodation is not provided.
Majestic Sun Tours Cruise Host and Other Amenities: Majestic Sun Tours, at its sole discretion, may elect not to provide a Host and/or other amenities, which would otherwise be provided, due to illness, or other conditions beyond Majestic Sun Tours’ control.
Guaranteed Cabin Assignments: Cabin/room assignments and location are the sole responsibility of the particular Cruise Line/Tour Operator and are made at their discretion. Upgrades are sometimes made at the discretion of the Cruise Line/Tour Operator. In the unlikely event of a cabin/room downgrade, Majestic Sun Tours will endeavor to obtain a refund from the Cruise Line/Tour Operator for the passenger of the difference between the value of the cabin/room rate and the actual rate paid.
Insurance: Majestic Sun Tours is not responsible or liable for loss, damage, or theft of luggage and/or personal belongings or for personal injury, accident and/or illness. LUGGAGE, ACCIDENT, AND TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. See your Travel Agent or Majestic Sun Tours to purchase.
Rates and Itineraries Subject to Change Without Notice: Prices quoted are based on land, air and ship tariffs and rates of exchange, in effect at the time the group was set up. Please see the Cruise Line/Tour Operator brochure for any itinerary changes. The cost of all cruises and tours is payable in U.S. dollars. Majestic Sun Tours reserves the right to increase the prices in the event of cost increase or currency fluctuations. Any such increase in the price must be paid prior to departure and does not change the cancellation provisions. All itineraries are subject to change without notice. The Cruise Line/Tour Operator, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or substitute a scheduled port of call or city at any time for any reason whatsoever without prior notice; Majestic Sun Tours shall not be held liable for any loss to the passengers by reason of such cancellation or substitution. Daily sequence of events will be followed as closely as possible, but will be changed without notice if warranted by local situations or for operational purposes. During local or national holidays, certain facilities may be limited. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any cruise or tour departure in accordance with operational requirements.
Airfares: All airfares are subject to change. Any such increase in the price must be paid prior to departure and does not change the cancellation provisions.
Baggage Allowance: Baggage allowances vary from supplier to supplier. Check with your Travel Agent for the latest information. An industry regulation requires that the passenger's name be on the outside of each piece of baggage that is checked. Airlines are not permitted to check baggage that does not comply with this regulation.
Responsibility: Majestic Sun Tours acts only as an agent in obtaining transportation and other services for cruise/tour members. The passenger contract in use by a carrier shall, when issued, constitute the sole contract of the cruise/tour members for the transportation involved. The carriers, Majestic Sun Tours, and their employees and agents shall not be liable, or directly or indirectly held responsible for any injury, expense, damage, delay, irregularity or other loss, whether to person or property (including without limitation, those resulting from the negligence of the carriers and Majestic Sun Tours) incurred or arising during the period of a cruise or tour or in connection with the rendering of transportation or other services furnished with respect to a cruise or tour (or the failure to render such services), or in any way related to a cruise or tour. The transportation companies whose services are featured in these cruises or tours are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their conveyance. Majestic Sun Tours is not responsible for any cost or inconvenience caused by late air, car, motor coach arrivals or by any change of schedule or other conditions.
Medical Condition/Physical Disability: Any medical condition or physical disability that may require special attention or treatment must be reported to Majestic Sun Tours when the reservation is made. All handicapped passengers must be self-sufficient and should travel with a passenger who will provide any assistance needed during the cruise and in the event of an emergency.
General Conditions: The right is reserved to cancel or reschedule any departure at any time and to withdraw membership from anyone whose behavior is likely to affect the smooth operation of the cruise/tour or adversely affect the enjoyment or safety of other passengers in which event any refund will be reviewed with the appropriate Cruise Line/Tour Operator and will be subject to their policies. Majestic Sun Tours strives to assure the happiness, compatibility and well-being of all its tour members. Accordingly, these cruises/tours are only offered to those who are in good physical and mental health (not requiring special attention) and who are understanding and tolerant of the conditions of travel.
Groups: Because of seasonal variations and other factors, we cannot guarantee the size of Majestic Sun Tours' groups. MAJESTIC SUN TOURS' GROUPS USUALLY COMPRISE ONLY A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF THE TOTAL PASSENGERS.

CRUISE LINE/TOUR OPERATOR AIR PROGRAM
Gateway Cities: The availability of an Air Program thru the Cruise Line/Tour Operator may be limited. The Cruise Line/Tour Operator reserves the right to withdraw any gateway city without prior notice.
Ticketing: The Cruise Line/Tour Operator reserves the right to choose the air carrier, routing, and airport from each gateway city, and further reserves the right to substitute charter or commuter flights for scheduled air service without prior notice. Airfares used are based on capacity-controlled, as well as contract, promotional, non-refundable or group fares; therefore, airline tickets issued by the Cruise Line/Tour Operator are highly restrictive and you may find that your ticket cannot be reissued, revalidated or exchanged for another carrier or routing. Flight schedules may require that you make connections or stop en route to your final destination. After your ticket has been issued by the Cruise Line/Tour Operator, flight schedules may be changed only by contacting the airline directly. Such changes are subject to availability and service fees may apply. Any additional costs, including penalties for cancellations/re booking, will be made at the passenger's expense. If you cancel your cruise after air tickets have been issued, you may be subject to cancellation fees. Passengers booked in the same cabin/room or traveling with other passengers, but who originate from different gateway cities, may not receive routing on the same flights. Airlines and assigned flight schedules may be substituted at any time prior to ticketing due to schedule changes or other reasons. The Cruise Line/Tour Operator and Majestic Sun Tours are not responsible for airline schedule or flight number changes after tickets have been issued.
Special Air Requests: If requested in writing no less than 60 days prior to departure, there will be a $45.00 per person non-refundable service charge for special requests that are accepted and fulfilled. Additional airline charges may apply. Passengers choosing to deviate may be responsible for their own personal and baggage transfers.
Airline Seating Assignments: It is the passenger or Travel Agent’s responsibility to call the airline for airline seat assignments. It is the passenger’s responsibility to reconfirm with the airline 24 hours before departure.
Overnights: On occasion, it may be necessary, due to airline schedules and/or availability of seats, to overnight Air Program passengers en route to or from their cruise/tour. The overnight may not be at the point of embarkation/debarkation and hotel selection will be at the Cruise Line/Tour Operator's option. When this occurs, complimentary accommodations will be provided. Passengers will be responsible for all meals and other items of a personal nature.
Liability: Air Program passengers release the Cruise Line/Tour Operator and Majestic Sun Tours from any and all claims for loss or damage to baggage or property, for personal injuries or death, or for the loss from delay arising out of the negligence, acts, or omissions of any independent contractors such as air carriers, hotels, restaurateurs, transportation providers or other providers of services or facilities offered in addition to the cruise/tour. The attention of the Air Program passenger is specifically directed to the cruise/tour ticket contract, included as part of the cruise/tour ticket.
Responsibility: The Cruise Line/Tour Operator and Majestic Sun Tours, in arranging for the transportation of passengers to and from the cruise/tour starting point, does so with independent contractors and only as a convenience to the passenger. The Cruise Line/Tour Operator and Majestic Sun Tours are not responsible for incidents such as airline cancellations, rerouting or any disruption of scheduled services or accommodations.
